Malavika Suresh

I am passionate about AI and love reading, writing and playing around with code. I enjoy picking a research paper and unpacking the background leading up to it and how it’s implemented. With my blogs, I’m looking to pen down ideas and thoughts on topics that interest me but don’t necessarily become academic papers. I hope it will inspire new research students and other researchers!

I have just finished my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at Robert Gordon University. My thesis explored novel solutions to some fundamental challenges in pre-trained transformer language models – (1) continually adapting the model to new domains and target classes (2) detecting and mitigating factual hallucinations

I read a range of things from Jane Austen to John Gribbin. I enjoy hiking, singing, playing basketball and exploring new cities. I’ve just started learning to play the Cajon!
